פרטי ההצגה

Double Bill is a shared evening presented and performed by Béatrice Larrivée,

Roni Milatin and Ido Toledano.

This collaborative show merges their passion, forces, and fantasies into an exciting journey of sensations and emotions.

“Now We” is a duet which employs creative manipulation of language and explores gender roles and identities.

You will hear the same story in two ways: once in a foreign language, presented in an incomprehensible manner, and then in a familiar language.

The true nature of the performers interaction is not merely conversational but interpretative. Each one is translating, possibly interpreting the other's words, emotions, or experiences into her own understanding, highlighting the complexities and nuances of communication.

This approach is deliberate and serves to challenge conventional perceptions and invites the audience to reconsider their preconceived notions.

The issues being addressed are long-standing, deeply embedded in societal structures and cultural norms, making the innovative approach necessary for renewed awareness and potential change.

Yet, amidst its profound thematic exploration, "Now We" is also a celebration, an ode to womanhood in all its power.

The physicality emphasizes the strength, resilience, and multifaceted nature of womanhood, acknowledging and honouring the diverse ways in which women can and do exist.

Choreography by Béatrice Larrivée

Spoken text from the song STL by Suzane from the album Toi Toi

“Briefly” is a solo performance that delves into the weight and consequence of irreversible choices, driven by inevitable forces, and prompts reflection on their profound impact on individuals.

Through the lens of rediscovering bodily constraints and the protective instincts of the heart, the piece delves into themes of fear, forgiveness, and love, blurring the lines between physicality and emotional resilience.

By questioning the nature of the heart as both a muscle and an organ, the work challenges conventional notions of embodiment, offering a nuanced perspective on the intersection of emotions and corporeal experience.

Choreography and performed by Béatrice Larrivée
Music: Eulogy by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein
Spoken text from “On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous” by Ocean Vuong
The work was created in the frame of 1I2I3 program for emerging choreographers of Suzanne Dellal Centre.

“Shir Eres” appeared for the first time as part of the Batsheva Dancers Create Project supported by the Michael Sela Foundation for the Cultivation of Young Talent in Batsheva.

Choreographed and performed by Roni Milatin and Ido Toledano
Music: Shir Eres (lullaby) by Avishai Cohen & Yonathan Avishai from the joint album Playing the Room
